Arsenal are happy to cut short Lucas Torreira's loan at Atletico Madrid when the transfer window opens in January. Instead, they want to sell him on as soon as possible - with a move to Serie A beckoning. The Uruguay international was ostracised by Mikel Arteta towards the end of last season. The Gunners coach has been keen to stamp his own mark on the first-team and it has resulted in a number of players being shifted out of consideration. Torreira had mentioned that he missed life in Italy and several clubs were interested in his services, namely Torino and Fiorentina. But a loan to Atletico Madrid went through instead, with Thomas Partey eventually going the other way on deadline day....
