Liverpool ‘offered Arsenal ace’ Klopp knows well as solution to injury crisis

Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Arsenal outcast Sokratis Papastathopoulos amid their defensive injury crisis, according to reports. The Premier League champions lost first-choice centre-back pairing Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez to long-term injuries earlier in the campaign, with both men facing a battle to play again this season after damaging knee ligaments. Joel Matip has also suffered with fitness problems of his own, meaning Jurgen Klopp has often been forced to play youngsters Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips at the heart of his defence.
