Liverpool have reportedly been offered Arsenal centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos. The Reds still have severe problems in the middle of their defence, with Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez all currently on the sidelines, which has seen midfielders Fabinho and Jordan Henderson pressed into action at the back. The Premier League champions have been linked with a number of defenders during the January transfer window, and according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Sokratis has been offered to the club.
