We maintained our impressive recent run of form as we eased past Newcastle United on Monday night. We dominated the first half but could not find a way through, despite Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang going close on three separate occasions. But we continued to stay on the front foot and made the breakthrough when Thomas Partey released our captain, and he fired past Karl Darlow. Bukayo Saka added a second soon afterwards when he converted after great work by Emile Smith Rowe, before Aubameyang completed the scoring near the end when he slotted home from inside the area.
