Arsenal are reportedly planning to sign a new left-back in the summer, with Kieran Tierney the only natural left-footed option at the club. The right-footed Cedric Soares has deputised for Tierney in recent weeks and the likes of Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka have featured there in previous seasons. Speaking last month, Arteta admitted that Arsenal were 'a little bit short with left-footed full-backs' after Sead Kolasinac rejoined Schalke on loan. He said: 'With the departure of Kola, we are a little bit short with left-footed full-backs at the moment. We know we can use Ainsley there, we can use Bukayo there and we can use Cedric - who has played in that position - so we have some options....
