Manchester City set new all-time winning record for English top-flight clubs

Manchester City set a new record for successive domestic wins by an English top-flight club with their victory over Swansea City on Wednesday evening. The Citizens were comfortable 3-1 winners at the Liberty Stadium to advance to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and make it 15 wins in a row in all competitions. That surpasses the previous best of 14 on the spin set by Preston North End in 1891-92 and Arsenal in 1987-88. City's incredible streak started on December 19 with a 1-0 win over Southampton in the Premier League.
