Wenger admits why Arsenal failed to sign Vardy despite offering "lot of money"

Ex-Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger did all he could to try and lure Jamie Vardy to north London in 2016. But Leicester ultimately convinced their star striker to stay at the King Power Stadium and commit his future to the club. The Foxes’ efforts paid off and they have reaped the rewards ever since with the £1m signing from Fleetwood arguably the best bit of business ever for a Premier League team. Vardy, 34, was on the scoresheet for Leicester once again on Saturday afternoon as he netted the second in a 3-1 victory over reigning champions Liverpool.
