Arsenal’s major Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe dilemmas after Benfica draw
Arsenal legend Martin Keown has outlined his 'reservations' about Martin Odegaard's role in the team, after the midfielder's display in the Gunners' 1-1 draw with Benfica in the first leg of their Europa League knockout clash. Manager Mikel Arteta named the same starting XI which beat Leeds United 4-2 on Sunday and that saw Odegaard feature in the No. 10 role, with Emile Smith Rowe out wide on the left. Keown believes Odegaard is a 'luxury' player and his presence could affect Smith Rowe's development, with the youngster forced to switch positions.
