Liverpool Confident Of Beating Arsenal For Charlton Athletic's Joe Gomez
It has been reported that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is confident winning the race for Charlton Athletic defender Joe Gomez. The Mirror claims that Rodgers is closing in on exciting young prospect, Gomez, and expects to complete a £3.5m deal – with significant add-ons that could take the final figure beyond £5m – before the end of the week. England U19 international Gomez is seen ultimately as a centre-half, but played most of last season for Championship side Charlton at right-back.
