Merson tells Arsenal he hopes they have "done their homework" on Odegaard

Paul Merson has told Arsenal that he hopes that his former club have done their homework on Martin Odegaard. It comes after the Norway international has been touted for a permanent transfer in the summer. When the January transfer window opened, Mikel Arteta made signing a playmaker a priority. With Mesut Ozil leaving after an anonymous season, there was a distinct lack of creativity in the middle of the park. It led Arsenal to the signing of Odegaard on loan from Real Madrid after being ostracised by Zinedine Zidane.
