European Super League clubs bottle releasing statement at planned time

European Super League hopefuls including Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal have delayed the released of a planned statement on Sunday evening having been slammed by fans and pundits alike. The Premier League giants are said to have been joined by Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham in agreeing to initial plans - which could yet end in removal from the league. League bosses quickly released a statement to condemn the idea, while UEFA and FIFA could ban players who choose to join up from playing in Champions League and international competition.
