Arsenal announce Nuno Tavares signing as club kick off summer transfer business

Arsenal have signed their first player of the summer with Nuno Tavares joining in a £7m deal from Benfica. The left-back has arrived at the Emirates Stadium ahead of the 2021/22 campaign. He will be tasked with providing support and competition for Scotland international Kieran Tierney. Tavares is only 21 years of age but has a bright future ahead of him and is part of Portugal's Under-21s side. The defender will have to isolate in England before joining up with his new team-mates for the start of pre-season training.
