Arsenal to receive transfer financial boost - but move highlights Wenger mistake

Arsenal will receive £250,000 when Donyell Malen completes his £25million transfer from PSV Eindhoven to Borussia Dortmund. The Netherlands international, 22, joined Arsenal when he was 17 after being recruited by Arsene Wenger from his boyhood club, Ajax. Despite totalling 27 goals and assists in 57 career youth appearances and an outstanding pre-season, Malen was sold by Wenger to PSV in July 2017 after never making a professional first-team appearance for Arsenal. According to football.London, Malen will join Dortmund for a fee in the region of £25m following weeks of negotiations.
