Former Arsenal star Dani Ceballos shows off battered ankle after Olympics injury

Former Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has revealed the gruesome extent of the freak ankle injury he sustained in Spain's opening Tokyo 2020 clash with Egypt. The 24-year-old was forced to leave the field barefooted with a horrible ball-shaped lump on his left ankle after a nasty challenge from Egypt's Taher Mohamed. Mohamed escaped without a red card following a VAR check - much to the surprise of Ceballos' team-mate Dani Olmo, who said there was 'no doubt' it deserved a sending off. Ceballos posted an update to his Instagram 24 hours after the match, showing little improvement to his ankle and suggesting his Olympic dream could be over.
