Chelsea legend Petr Cech re-signs with ice hockey team after man of the match debut

Chelsea legend Petr Cech has re-signed with the ice hockey team he made a man-of-the-match debut for. The former shot-stopper for the Blues and the Gunners joined Guildford Phoenix for the 2019/20 season, the summer after he retired from football at Arsenal. And he made a big impression, stopping two penalties on his debut as goaltender in a shootout on his debut before making six more appearances, including two shut-outs. Duties called at Chelsea the following season, though, as Frank Lampard made the club’s technical and performance advisor an inclusion in his 25-man Premier League squad.
