Alex Song says he left Arsenal for money and "didn't give a f***" about not playing

Alex Song has admitted that he left Arsenal for purely financial reasons, knowing that he wouldn't get much game time upon leaving the club. The Cameroonian midfielder spent six seasons at the Emirates after signing from French side FC Bastia in 2006 and made his breakthrough two years later, partnering with Cesc Fabregas in the Arsenal midfield. Song became a fan favourite and due to his impressive rise in the team, Barcelona came calling and signed the midfielder for £15million in 2012, joining back up with Fabregas who left Arsenal the year before.
