Arsenal keen on signing Marco Asensio after having massive summer transfer bid rejected

Arsenal reportedly remain interested in signing Marco Asensio from Real Madrid after having a massive summer transfer bid turned down. The Gunners made a £34m offer for Asensio in the window which was rejected by Los Blancos, according to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser (via The Sun). The forward was told by new boss Carlo Ancelotti that he was part of his first-team plans which was the reason behind the deal being shunned. However, Gunners manager Mikel Arteta remains keen on the 25-year-old and is eyeing up a second push to get a deal done when the window opens once more in January.
