Five richest clubs in Premier League as Newcastle takeover sees them take top spot
Newcastle now have a seat at the table with the Premier League's financial elite after completing their £300million Saudi takeover on Thursday. The Premier League have agreed for Mike Ashley to sell the Magpies to Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, whose Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund has secured an 80 per cent stake in the club. Businesswoman Amanda Staveley and property tycoons David and Simon Reuben have also taken 10 per cent each.
