Arsenal won't offer star new contract leaving him free to sign for new club in January

Arsenal are reportedly refusing to offer Alexandre Lacazette a new contract, leaving the French forward free to sign for a new club in January. Lacazette's Arsenal deal expires at the end of this season, meaning that from January 1 he can speak to foreign clubs and sign a pre-contract agreement to join them in July 2022. The Athletic report that the Gunners are only willing to offer Lacazette a short term deal but have not ruled out the possibility of the 30-year-old staying at the Emirates Stadium beyond this season.
