Arsenal paid just £10,000 for new wonderkid who announced himself in style on debut

Arsenal wonderkid Charlie Patino reportedly cost the club just £10,000 when they signed the midfielder from Luton Town aged 11. Patino came off the bench to make his first-team debut for Arsenal during Tuesday’s 5-1 quarter-final win over Sunderland at the Emirates. Despite being given only around ten minutes to impress boss Mikel Arteta, it turned out to be a dream debut for Patino after the midfielder scored Arsenal’s fifth goal of the game. Patino – who is a central midfielder by trade – has already drawn comparisons with Phil Foden and Jack Wilshere, according to The Sun.
