Newcastle contact Arsenal over Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 'loan to buy deal'

Newcastle United have made a 'loan-to-buy' approach to Arsenal over their estranged former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Toon Army are looking to swoop in for the Gabonese striker this month, with the option of making the deal permanent in the summer for £20million. This is according to the Daily Mirror, who report Aubameyang could become Newcastle's first marquee signing under their new ownership. Aubameyang hasn't returned to the Arsenal first team since he was dropped for a disciplinary reason last month.
