Arsenal 'closer to signing striker Alexander Isak' - Gunners deal preferred to Barcelona

Arsenal have emerged as the 'most likely destination' for Real Sociedad and Sweden striker Alexander Isak despite Xavi's desire to bring the forward to Barcelona. The 22-year-old, who impressed for his country at Euro 2020 in the absence of the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has scored 20 goals across his last 43 La Liga appearances. The 6ft 4in forward is said to have been earmarked by Barcelona as a possible replacement for Sergio Aguero, but Arsenal will be on the lookout should Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang depart. Aubameyang's future at the Emirates is in the balance after he was stripped of the captaincy by Mikel Arteta, with the in-form Isak also 10 years younger...
