New dates for Liverpool vs Arsenal in Carabao Cup semi-final confirmed

A fresh date has been set for the two-legged Carabao Cup semifinal clash between Arsenal and Liverpool. The two Premier League giants have had their original games - Thursday, January 6 for the first leg and Thursday, January 13 for the second - postponed, it's been confirmed. The teams will now play Thursday, January 13 for the first leg at the Emirates and Thursday, January 20 for the second at Anfield, following an announcement from the EFL. Liverpool had requested that their fixture with Arsenal be played at a later date after the Merseyside club had been struck with a series of Covid cases, affecting a number of players as well as assistant manager Pep Lijnders.
