£18m midfielder could make Arsenal switch, wages an issue
AS Monaco midfielder Joao Moutinho looks likely to leave the Ligue 1 side this summer, and we have been tipped as a possible destination, according to the Express. The 28-year-old is a top quality midfielder, and is one of the few remaining stars from Monaco's spending spree a few seasons back. With the Portuguese midfielder on a reported salary of £100,000 per week (via the Metro) and Monaco in the midst of a financial crisis, Moutinho has apparently been put up for sale. The Express' report claims we are facing competition from Manchester United, Zenit St Petersburg, and his old club Porto, but it's questionable whether we are even in for the creative midfielder.
