Report: Arsenal to sign Gonzalo Higuain
Arsenal are reportedly ready to sign Gonzalo Higuain after he turned down a new deal at Napoli. The 27-year-old striker has spent the last two seasons with the Serie A side, but the player's agent confirmed on Tuesday that he has rejected their offer of a new contract. Argentina international Higuain was tipped to sign for Arsenal before joining Napoli from Real Madrid in 2013. The Gunners are thought to be in the market for a new frontman and have been linked with Real's Karim Benzema, although a deal now looks unklikely to happen. According to The Metro, Arsenal retain an interest in Higuain and are set to sign him. Higuain has scored 53 goals in 102 games for Napoli.
