Arsenal set to make £35.5m offer for Benzema alternative
The rumours of a striker arriving at the Emirates this summer seem to be heating up once again, and at this point our pursuit of Real Madrid's Karim Benzema is the worst kept secret in football (via the Metro). But as the report suggests, Arsene Wenger has identified an alternative to the French forward, with the manager preparing for a scenario in which he misses out on his top target. The Metro cites reports in Spain, which claim we are planning a £35.5m move for wantaway Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.
