Arsenal Face Stiff Chelsea Competition For Benfica Wonderkid
It has been revealed that Chelsea are scouting extensively Benfica attacker Goncalo Guedes. The Daily Star reported that Guedes, 18, is one of Europe's hottest properties after making a terrific start to the season. Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United had their scouts watching the winger in a Champions League fixture earlier this month. Barcelona are also keen on the Portuguese starlet, who has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo. And O Jogo says Jose Mourinho has had Guedes tracked five times in recent months. The Portugal Under-21 international is contracted to Benfica until 2021 and has an eye-watering £40m release clause.
