Mathieu Debuchy Close To Joining Aston Villa
It has been revealed that Aston Villa are closing on a deal for Arsenal fullback Mathieu Debuchy. According to L'Equipe, Debuchy will join the relegation-threatened outfit on a six month loan agreement after enduring a miserable spell at the Emirates. The Frenchman hasn't been included in Arsenal's squad since December 28 and appears surplus to requirements with Calum Chambers now deputy to Hector Bellerin. Remi Garde has made no secret about his desire to sign Debuchy and recently admitted his discussions with Arsene Wenger.
