Benchwarmer Per is a big frustrated German

Per Mertesacker admits he's disappointed to be spending so much time on the subs bench but insists he'll remain professional knowing that ‘things change very fast' in football. The German international hasn't started any of Arsenal's last three games, missing out on the away defeat at the Camp Nou and the two victories against Everton and Watford. The 31-year-old, who has one more year left on his contract, played the majority of the Gunners games up to the end of January but has been usurped by Brazilian Gabriel in recent weeks.
