Wenger hails perfect Arsenal display against Chelsea

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that his side’s 3-0 thumping of Chelsea was a major statement of intent and that the Gunners were almost perfect in a spectacular first-half showing. The London rivals came into the Saturday evening clash at Stamford Bridge both hoping to record three points and strike a blow to the others’ chances of building momentum. However, Arsenal came out of the blocks determined to prove a point and three first-half goals from Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil ended the game as a contest.
