Arsenal Defender Called Into England Squad

Kieran Gibbs has been called into the England squad to replace Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand who limped out of the Three Lions’ 2-0 win over Malta on Saturday. Bertrand started the game at Wembley but lasted just 19 minutes after suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury and having to be substituted for Danny Rose. England went on to win the game thanks to first-half goals from Daniel Sturridge and Dele Alli to ensure they have maximum points from their opening two World Cup qualifiers. Next up for England is a trip to Ljubljana to face Slovenia on Tuesday with Gibbs set to be included in the travelling party after being called-up to replace Bertrand, the Football Association...
