Arsenal fans react as Stan Kroenke turns down £1bn bid to buy share in club Sat, May 20, 2017 Arsenal fans are not happy with Stan Kroenke after the majority shareholder turned down a £1bn bid to buy him out by Alisher Usmanov Play slideshow 1 of 18 Kroenke is currently the majority shareholder with 67 per cent, but Russian businessman Usmanov has made a move to buy out the 69-year-old for around £1bn. If Usmanov succeeds in purchasing Kroenke’s share, his ownership would increase to 97 per cent and end Kroenke’s fractious relationship with the club which began in 2007.
