The League Cup - in its various guises - has traditionally been a finishing school for our players. Indeed, of the 226 Arsenal debuts in the Premier League era, 91 have come in this competition. There’s plenty of success stories in there but few as impressive as Unai Emery’s own professional debut. Our head coach was 18 when he first appeared for San Sebastian in the Segunda Division in Spain. He scored after four minutes and his team cruised to a 3-1 win.
