Alexandre Lacazette is still very much recovering from the injury he sustained not so long ago in a friendly game against Lyon which the Gunners ended up losing 2-1. The France international did not travel to Spain with the squad as they faced Barcelona at the Camp Nou as part of the Joan Gamper Trophy match, which they also, unfortunately, lost 2-1. Still, Unai Emery is hopeful that Lacazette will return in time to face Newcastle in their 2019/20 Premier League opener.
